Finder Dark Version — Hey Hey Hey 👋, And this is how the first icon turned out, in this case, the Finder from my #icon pack in progress called DarkOS or DarkMaul; I still haven't decided on the name. It's a true dark version of many #apps icons in #macos Version 1.0 will have around 50 initial icons, but I plan to add more later.
Sign-out: making it fun & creating a lasting — Little experiment on a sign-out interaction ✨ Of course you want people actively engaged in your app. You also want to improve the onboarding to reduce your 'time to value'. But what about making it a little more fun when people want a break from your thing? These impressions count as well. Just like that cheap-ass but pretty good hotdog you get at IKEA as a last impression before you leave. That's not by accident – it’s psychology. It's called the 'peak-end rule'. -- If you’d like to inspect or use it, add a comment on my X post and follow me, so I can DM you the remix link x.com/franklagendijk/status/1818608522218672136
Direct Messaging — I'm excited to introduce Direct Messaging on todays.design, bringing a new level of connection to our community! The new messaging feature allows you to communicate securely with other members, right here on the platform. Share personal details and ideas freely, knowing that your communications are for your eyes only. Your messages are encrypted at rest and never leave todays.design, ensuring your conversations remain private and protected. Shuttle icon — For the shuttle.zip project, I designed a two-color icon that combines the shapes of a folder and documents, while maintaining a square form to align with macOS app icon standards. #icon #macos
Opslan — Hi all 👋, I wanted to share Opslan, a bookmarking app I designed a while ago to help you easily save and rediscover websites that inspire you. It never saw the light, but I still feel it could be relevant. As a designer, I aimed to create a tool that combines a visually appealing interface with powerful search capabilities. With Opslan, you can archive your favorite sites and keep them well-organized for future reference, all without the clutter of traditional bookmarks. #web #website
TR - Lettering sketch — I find it helpful to put every idea on paper, even if I have doubts about the design while doing so. Completing the process often results in an interesting design. For now, it's parked, but I keep looking back at it. I'm curious to see if I will eventually present this to the client.
Opslan logo animation — I stumbled upon this project and realized how much I still love the mark. It's a nod to the central piece of old floppy disks. Opslan was a side project my brother and I worked on together. Hopefully, it will see the light of day one day. ;-)

Process illustration — Concept illustration of a data analytics process that involves various tools and software.
Change app icons on iOS with long press — Apps with multiple app icons could add this to the default long press action menu. Perplexity just released this feature 🔥. Hope more apps join the party.
